  • Address book for important contacts

2. Understand data

Whether you’re obtaining appraisals or valuations, it’s worth seeing the data. If you can see how your home compares to others, you’ll quickly be able to determine whether the price you have asked for is reasonable.

Many home owners are not aware of the value of their homes, so take the time to understand the appraisal you are given.

3. Make decisions early
