Should you try selling your property off-market?

Running a short off-market campaign for your property (just a couple of weeks) is a good way to test the waters before you launch your full campaign.

An off-market campaign can help you gauge interest and nail the price guide. Sometimes, you’ll get an exceptional offer. But in most cases, your property will go to market.

The off-market campaign will attract two key groups:

  1. Buyers’ agents
  2. Buyers who have been looking for a long time

Buyers’ agents like to get ahead of the market for their clients.

Buyers who have been looking for a long time know what they want and are keen to secure a property. They might not be willing to wait the full length of the campaign or go to auction. They’re the most likely to make you a great offer.
