Can you believe it’s only eight weeks until Christmas!
So, if you want to sell your home or investment property before 2023 is done and dusted, now is your lucky last chance. Please reach out within the next week.
However, if you’ve already pushed the idea of selling to January, now is a great time to start preparing.
Firstly, get in touch with your real estate agent and come up with a game plan.
Secondly, reach out to your conveyancer to get the paperwork rolling.
Finally, start booking in tradespeople to spruce up your property with fresh paint, new carpet, new light fittings and new blinds and/or curtains. You might find there’s a bit of a wait, which is why the sooner you jump on these tasks, the better.
The advantage of selling in January is that there’s usually less competition (ie. fewer listings) than in February, March and April, which can result in higher sales prices. You don’t even need to go directly to market. Your agent can start with a ‘soft sell’ to their database.
